Open dynamic behaviour of financial markets with internal interactions between agents and with external “fields” from other systems are investigated using the approach of Grossman and Stiglitz for inefficient markets, and Keynes for interference of the market using physics of finance (referred to hereafter as phynance). The simulation results indicate that the NYSE data analyzed in Plerou, V. et al., Nature 421, 130 (2003) can be fitted by an equation of order parameter Φ and local deviation R of type: -(R+0.03) Φ+ 0.6 Φ3 + 0.02 = 0, which is shown to be in remarkable agreement with Plerou's data.  相似文献

In this paper an analysis of the Stirling cycle in thermoeconomic terms is developed using the entropy generation. In the thermoeconomic optimization of an irreversible Stirling heat pump cycle the F function has been introduced to evaluate the optimum for the higher and lower sources temperature ratio in the cycle: this ratio represents the value which optimizes the cycle itself. The variation of the function F is proportional to the variation of the entropy generation, the maxima and minima of F has been evaluated in a previous paper without giving the physical foundation of the method. We investigate the groundwork of this approach: to study the upper and lower limits of F function allows to determine the cycle stability and the optimization conditions. The optimization consists in the best COP at the least cost. The principle of maximum variation for the entropy generation becomes the analytic foundation of the optimization method in the thermoeconomic analysis for an irreversible Stirling heat pump cycle.  相似文献

Professional football clubs are unusual businesses, their performance judged on and off the field of play. This study is concerned with measuring the efficiency of clubs in the English Premier League. Information from clubs’ financial statements is used as a measure of corporate performance. To measure changes in efficiency and productivity the Malmquist non-parametric technique has been used. This is derived from the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) linear programming approach, with Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) being used to ensure the cohesion of the input–output variables. The study concludes that while clubs operate close to efficient levels for the assessed models, there is limited technological advance in their performance in terms of the displacement of the technological frontier. ABSTRACT. We developed a dynamic economic model to optimize irrigation water allocations during water deficit periods for three major crops grown in the humid southeastern United States. Analysis involved the use of crop simulation models to capture (a) the yield water relationship and (b) soil moisture dynamics from one week to another week. A hy‐drological model was used to find the water supply; combinations of hydrological and simulation models were used to find the optimal water allocation during each week in corn, cotton and peanuts. Results indicated that farmers should irrigate the most valuable crop first (peanuts) before applying water to other crops (corn and cotton). Results also showed that, because of restriction on total water supply, an increase in crop acreage did not increase the net revenue of the farm in a proportionate amount. Results should provide guidelines to water managers, engineers, policy makers, and farmers regarding an optimal amount of water allocation that will maximize net returns when water shortage is a serious concern.  相似文献

在对国内外液态锂回路研究综述的基础上,重点介绍了四川大学流动液态锂回路的研究进展。为开展等离子体与流动自由液态锂表面相互作用的研究而设计了该回路,其目标是:(1)获得稳定、均匀的流动自由液态锂表面;(2)研究等离子体辐照下液态锂的蒸发、溅射以及氢、氢同位素和氦在液态锂中的滞留行为;(3)研究等离子体辐照下液态锂与结构材料的相容性。系统包括液态锂循环部分和直线高密度等离子体发生装置。  相似文献

Paper-based microfluidic devices (μPADs) are capable of achieving rapid quantitative measurements of a variety of analytes inexpensively. μPADs rely on patterning hydrophilic-hydrophobic regions on a sheet of paper in order to create capillary channels within impermeable fluidic brakes on the paper. Here, we present a novel, highly flexible and low-cost fabrication method using a desktop digital craft plotter/cutter and technical drawing pens with tip size of 0.5 mm. The pens were used with either commercial black permanent ink for drawing fluidic brakes, or with specialty in-house formulated aqueous inks. With the permanent marker ink it was possible to create barriers on paper rapidly and in a variety of designs in a highly flexible manner. For instance, a design featuring eight reservoirs can be produced within 10 s for each μPAD with a consistent line width of brakes (%RSD < 1.5). Further, we investigated the optimal viscosity range of in-house formulated inks controlled with additions of poly(ethylene glycol). The viscosity was measured by capillary electrophoresis and the optimal viscosity was in the range of ∼3–6 mPa s. A functional test of these μPADs was conducted by the screening of antioxidant activity. Colorimetric measurements of flavonoid, phenolic compounds and DPPH free radical scavenging activity were carried out on μPADs. The results can be detected by the naked eye and simply quantified by using a camera phone and image analysis software. The fabrication method using technical drawing pens provides flexibility in the use of in-house formulated inks, short fabrication time, simplicity and low cost.  相似文献

Statistical regularities at the top end of the wealth distribution in the United States are examined using the Forbes 400 lists of richest Americans, published between 1988 and 2003. It is found that the wealths are distributed according to a power-law (Pareto) distribution. This result is explained using a simple stochastic model of multiple investors that incorporates the efficient market hypothesis as well as the multiplicative nature of financial market fluctuations.  相似文献

企业组建技术联盟的根本目的,就是基于自己能力缺陷,分散风险,降低研发成本,共享技术收益,是一个典型的利益共生体.Logistic生物种群共生进化模型给技术联盟共生体提供了一个分析框架.分析结果表明:对于主体不均等的技术联盟,主导企业从合作伙伴中获得的收益是非常有限的,远远低于自己对伙伴企业的贡献,并且这种联盟方式要求企业之间的分工程度要高;而对于主体均等的技术联盟而言,双方的贡献相差不大,都相对比较小.技术联盟企业通过分工形式形成各种关系,以激烈的竞争维持着共生模式的稳定性.  相似文献
